How much Petrus wine really costs ?

Recently Petrus wine was in the news mainly the 1974 and the 2007 vintage bottles. But what is Petrus wine and much does it realy costs ?

Petrus wine is French red wine produced at the Château Pétrus in Bordeaux, France, wine estate located in the Pomerol appellation near its eastern border to Saint-Émilion. A small estate of just 11.4 hectares (28 acres), it produces a red wine entirely from Merlot grapes

Chateau Petrus is 45km away from Bordeaux by car and St.Emilion is 13 km south of Pomerol

We checked online and a Petrus 1974 costs around € 1,500 (if you are interested we can personally delivery you one )

From our reseach Petrus 2007 costs just over € 2,500

But if you are like me cannot afford these type of wines you get wines from neighbor Chateaux either in St . Emilion or Bordeaux. From St.Emilion we have this good wine for € 28 euro https://wines.mt/product/bordeaux-rouge-roc-de-sansac-2014/ or a Bordeaux wine from € 15 euro . https://wines.mt/product/bordeaux-rouge-roc-de-sansac-2014/

What is the difference ? I can tell you the Bordeaux and St.Emilion wines are medium- to full-bodied with aromas of black currant, plums, and earthy notes When you taste the wines, they burst with mineral and fruit notes that lead into prickly, savory, mouth-drying tannins.

The Petrus ? can’t afford one but when I do I let you know.
